Growtheatre is a theatre company with a difference, we develop theatre and creative projects inspired by our environment and landscape, bringing about a greater sense of community and belonging.
Following the Government guidance around COVID-19, we will be postponing all Growtheatre Family Events for the foreseeable future . We’re prioritising the health and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers and community and will continue to review these measures daily.
We are extremely pleased to announce that we have secured an amazing venue for the return of our Intermediate and Senior groups! Our new temporary home will be at the fantastic Whirlow Brook Hall! We are looking forward to seeing our members and their families in the flesh, albeit while social distancing. We can’t wait to make the most of Whirlow Hall Park by getting outside as much as possible and taking inspiration for our creative work from a rich and varied outdoor space.
We are still running our Junior sessions from Ecclesall Woods.
Our work has three strands:
- Grow Youth Theatre outdoor youth theatre for children and young people. We run 3 groups Juniors (school years 3 & 4), Intermediates (school years 5 – 7) and Seniors (school years 8 – 11)
- Grow Projects encompasses a wide range of creative and performance-based projects with a range of audiences and partners.
- Grow Education with schools, colleges and university. We offer bespoke workshops and projects to suit your needs. We also are Forest School Providers and we can work with you to set up a Forest School or offer Forest School sessions.
